RiverRink Summerfest

RiverRink Summerfest is waiting for you in Philly

Philadelphia is the place to be this summer! With so many fests, concerts and special attractions, it would actually be a challenge to get bored. As your Philly real estate team, we’re here to fill you in on the best attractions and events taking place in Philly all summer long! We already filled you in on Spruce Street Harbor Park. Now let’s chat about Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, which is just a few blocks north!

Located at 101 S. Columbus Boulevard at Penn’s Landing and Chestnut Street in Old City, this Delaware River waterfront attraction returns with more activities than ever this year. You won’t find another city in the U.S. with an attraction as cool as this! There is so much to do there, you may have to visit numerous times this summer before you have time to enjoy it all.

RiverRink Summerfest opened for the season on May 26 and will run through Sept. 3. Admission is free, you just pay for food, drinks and activities as you go! Partake in the full-blown roller skating rink right in the middle, with roller skate and in-line skate rentals available. You could also play games, hang out at the urban beach in the sun or under a beach umbrella, play mini golf on the nine-hole course, or check out the new attractions this year, outdoor bowling and carnival-style rides!

Whether you’re taking your date for a ride on the 60-foot Ferris wheel, you’re taking your kids or nieces and nephews for a spin on the full-size carousel, or you and your coworkers head to the boardwalk for arcade games, there’s something for everyone at Summerfest. The Midway opens June 18! The rides will continually be swapped out for new rides after a few weeks, so stop by often to see what the latest is.

Even if you just head to RiverRink Summerfest for food and drinks, it’d be well worth your time. Chickie’s and Pete’s Waterfront Crabshack will provide a 200-seat bar and restaurant with crab fries, wings, cheesesteaks and more. Monday and Thursday nights, enjoy an all-you-can-eat snow crab dinner!

For dessert, head to Franklin Fountain for some old-fashioned ice cream, milkshakes, floats and more along the boardwalk. As for drinks, beer, cocktails and wine will be flowing from numerous bars throughout the area.

Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest and Spruce Street Harbor Park are both awesome attractions in Philly! There’s only so many outdoor bar patios you can sit at, right? These attractions allow you to play some games, eat new food and get out of the everyday cycle with some old-fashioned fun!
