First, let’s talk about some of the food specials you can find around town right now. The more you save, the more you’ll have for a down payment on a Philly home!

  • Oyster House’s Twin Lobster Dinner is available on Wednesday evenings during the summer in Center City. Take advantage! Score two steamed, one-pound Maine lobsters with corn on the cob for $30 each, starting at 5 p.m.
  • Seafood lovers could also check out Red Owl Tavern at Hotel Monaco for Lobster Clambake Day on Mondays! $25 will get you a pan of clams, mussels, shrimp and lobster. They’ve also got a $33 special for a bottle of wine and a dozen oysters!
  • Head to Old City Eats every Thursday through August for discounts throughout this Philly neighborhood! From half-priced appetizers to $4 beers and $5 cocktails, you’re sure to find something you fancy at more than 25 participating restaurants and bars.

Want to try some of Philly’s latest and greatest dining spots? Here’s a few to know about:

  • Wiz Kid just opened in Rittenhouse Square and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s the newest approach to fast casual cooking, with all sorts of sandwiches and salads, including the classic Philly cheesesteak. The kick is that everything is vegan! We tried it and loved it!
  • Palizzi Social Club recently got a savvy reboot. Pay a membership of $20 at the door and enjoy cash-only restaurant dishes like octopus with salsa verde, egg yolk and spinach ravioli and more, along with spins on traditional Italian cocktails.
  • How about trying authentic Roman-style pizza at Rittenhouse’s new Rione? Enjoy by the slice, or ‘al taglio,’ as the Romans say. The dough is made from scratch and left to rise for 72 hours, then topped with all sorts of delicious cheeses and Italian toppings and herbs.
